Forum Title: Mohawk Wear-Dated Embrace Nylon
We are considering this carpet for our living room, stairs and our bedrooms. We are concerned that it isn't a high enough quality (we still have a dog in the house). We are getting pricing of $3.10/Sq ft for just the carpet. Also was shown Dixie Home Cozy, Stainmaster, SuperiaSD BCF nylon type 6,6. For this one we are getting a quote of $3.25 installed. CONFUSED! So I am going to go outside and paint...something more simple.

Ahh, not much color on trees round here like up there. Density will affect price, nylon is best fiber for durability, BCF just means bulked continuous filament (kinda like a wire crimped up to add appearance of volume) 6.6 is the generation of development sorta like computer updates, this one I believe is the shape of extruded fiber, sorta like weed eater filament it's not round like pipe but shaped somewhat like a gear but not as many cogs to reduce reflection of light and to strengthen. There's some good carpet threads here for stairs(padding) at's about all I can offer, test and question all sales/install methods wherever you go, I'll call BS should you have any questionable answers.
